Liz & Doug.
With a sea-saw.
You probably have a lot of questions and some of them might even be releveant to this trip to the Bahamas and our wedding. We gathered some useful links and information below. As for your other questions like "can cereal be considered soup?" or "what is a phobia of chainsaws called?"... Maybe you should ask Google or read a book.
Stuff for you to read.
The Bahamas became an independant country in 1973. The islands are greatly lacking in natural resources, but more than make up for it with their beauty. In its entirety The Bahamas is comprised of nearly 700 islands, but only 30 are inhabited. Wait, this isn't the kind of information you need... Here is some useful stuff to help you plan.
Airport
It's small, but it's there. It's more a shed than an airport. Airport code: GGT
Where are the houses?
Funny you should ask. We don't really know yet. We'll have an address for you sometime, most likely. Until then here is all we can give you: 23º 27' 10" N 75º 37' 50" W
Driving
Drive on the other side of the road. It feels wrong, but do it. There are potholes. Swerve for iguanas please.
Rental Cars
You will probably need one so you can go places and do stuff. Here are a few places to get a vehicle. Last time we were there we had to bungee cord part of the car back together so be prepared. Thompson's Rental Cars Berlies Rental Cars Airport Rental Cars
El Sol
There is a lot of sun in the Bahamas and little shade. It's a good idea to bring some protective sun/swim clothing. We also sent you some reef safe sunscreen. It would be cool if you used it and helped keep the ocean nice.
Bugs
There are some bugs there. It's a tropical place so you should expect bugs. Liz made me put this part here. Mosquitos don't bite me.
What to Wear
We honestly don't care what you wear the entire trip. That includes the day of the wedding. Just be comfortable and have fun.
Passport
You need one. Make sure it doesn't expire within 6 months of the trip. Last time they tried to keep Levi.
Gifts
We said it before and we will say it again... Don't give us anything! Being part of the wedding is all we want.
Thank You
We like you guys. Thanks for everything!!! See you on the beach!
